The old routine was to blame Bush.  As that became noticeably predictable, old and annoying: Obama moved to the much used Liberalicious High Avoidance Technique.  This art form involves taking up the appearance of semi regular church attendance with the wife and youngest daughter, while insisting that the media not pay attention to the 13 year old daughter being off in Mexico.  Obama fiddles away.  Meanwhile, Rome is burning.

This photo was snapped last week in St. Louis County.  You know we are in a pickle when gas gets that high in flyover country.  Obama would like to appear concerned about it, but he just can’t muster the needed gravitas.

The average price of a gallon of regular is now $3.87, the highest recorded price in March. The average price is up nearly 4 cents from a week ago, and over 30 cents from a year ago, according to the Department of Energy, as more drivers face gas prices of $4 a gallon or more across the country.

Last week, the average gas price was $3.83 a gallon, the previous record according to data going back to 1990.

These good folks missed two salient facts in their report: gas is already over $4.00 a gallon in Missouri, and this is all Obama’s fault.  Approval of the Keystone XL Pipeline would be an appropriate step in the right direction and would reduce the misery that Americans are experiencing at the pump considerably.
