Obama speech praises Wright, attacks feds on Katrina | The Daily Caller

This video of then Senator Obama speaking to an assemblage of 8,000 black pastors is not new information.  What is new is the contrast between what the president has stated about his relationship with Jeremiah Wright.  In his intro and shout out to his pastor President Obama speaks of Wright in the closest of possible terms.  He really is proud of the association and attendant relationship.

What most Americans know of the president is his media supported rhetoric on being a uniter and how much he cares for everyone and is oblivious to racial constructs do to his mixed lineage and unique diverse upbringing.  Instead, we see a person using a fake black preacher cadence accusing white America of the worst type of racism.  Obama also hits on the government as a racist entity for it’s handling of Hurricane Katrina.  This is a ludicrous assertion because the largest single employer of blacks in America is the Federal Government.

In watching the coverage of this story on Hannity tonight, I am struck by the complete difference in opinion shown by the two commentators David Webb and Juan Williams.

Williams sees no problem with President Obama sounding like a black preacher straight out of a Tyler Perry movie at Hampton University, while sounding completely academic and prosaic everywhere else.  And that is just the commentary on the way he sounds.  Williams doesn’t begin to address the hatred and angst that the president pours out into that audience; telling them that the government doesn’t care about them, that they were treated unfairly.

If I ever get into a bind and need an apologist, I would certainly wish to have Juan Williams in my corner, because his loyalty is definitely of the blindly tenacious variety.

This video shows a chameleon in action, pouring out hatred into the empty heads of folks that only see race.  It’s worse than pandering – he’s whipping up racial hatred for whites by black Christians.  It’s shameful behavior that should turn the stomachs of any American, but whites – especially those that voted for Barry Contrary in 2008 and are fence sitting now, should see this and decide for Romney.

Now to the speech.  It was given at Hampton University in 2007. Via The Daily Caller:

The racially charged and at times angry speech undermines Obama’s carefully-crafted image as a leader eager to build bridges between ethnic groups. For nearly 40 minutes, using an accent he almost never adopts in public, Obama describes a racist, zero-sum society, in which the white majority profits by exploiting black America. The mostly black audience shouts in agreement. The effect is closer to an Al Sharpton rally than a conventional campaign event.

Obama gave the speech in the middle of a hotly-contested presidential primary season, but his remarks escaped scrutiny. Reporters in the room seem to have missed or ignored his most controversial statements. The liberal blogger Andrew Sullivan linked to what he described as a “transcript” of the speech, which turned out not to be a transcript at all, but instead the prepared remarks provided by the campaign. In fact, Obama, who was not using a teleprompter, deviated from his script repeatedly and at length, ad libbing lines that he does not appear to have used before any other audience during his presidential run. A local newspaper posted a series of video clips of the speech, but left out key portions. No complete video of the Hampton speech was widely released.

  1. Thank you for commenting on Juan William’s position. Ever since the conventions Juan’s opinions and commentary have seriously lost touch with obvious rationality and logic. Makes me wonder if he was given the cold shoulder by his left “friends” and now he’s trying to win back their approval.
