This statement by Jamie Foxx should come as no surprise to anyone, since we have seen the bumper-stickers with Obama’s visage saying “HOPE”. How can anyone place their hope in one man, except that one man be their God? These sycophant Obama-ites have unwittingly sold their souls to a mere mortal, just as misguided cult members did in Jones Town. And just as Heaven’s gate or any other cult…
No, Obama-worshippers wont drink Kool Aid or await a space-ship, because they are aware of those. But they’re still selling their souls just the same! This latest diatribe by Foxx only illustrates, once more, that the primary relationship between the left and their elected official is one of worship and servitude. They will trade their most important possession; the relationship they have with God, for a seat at the Democrats’ table.
But as conservatives, we hold our elected officials as public servants only, to which we reserve the right to hold accountable. And before we elevate them to office, they must prove themselves principled, lawful and competent. For so many on the left, their prospective Messiahs only need be capable of reading embellished rhetoric from an obscure teleprompter.
