  1. Thank you for being YOU! I really enjoy following you and reading your posts. Not many people “take the words right out of my mouth” as you do. I feel very blessed that your in a position to speak on our behalf! !!

  2. SAM WALTON IS THE FOUNDER OF WALMART SINCE 1962 AND THROUGH FREE ENTERPRISE IS WELL KNOWN THROUGH OUR MEDIA TO BE THE LARGEST U.S. EMPLOYER TODAY AND CONTINUES TO SET THE PACE FOR CURRENT AND FUTURE POVERTY LEVELS CONSENSUALLY! THEY ARE NOT ALONE, EG; GOODWILL INDUSTRIES AND $.99 STORES! WALMART HAS THE GOOD INTENTIONS OF A CORPORATE EMPLOYER. WHO’S RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR INDIVIDUAL WEALTH AS A WAGE EARNER ANYWAY? HIGHER EDUCATION, HIGHER EDUCATION, HIGHER EDUCATION! WE ALL KNOW DISCOUNTED PRODUCTS AND LOW WAGES COST ALL OF US MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE, LOW WAGES ARE JUST ONE ASPECT IN ECONOMICS! SURVIVAL OF BUSINESS IS ALL ABOUT PROFITS TO A SMALL GROUP, DUH! WALMART IS JUST ANOTHER DISTRIBUTOR OF MANY ENVIRONMENTALLY TOXIC PRODUCTS FROM CHINA, ETC, WE LOVE THEM CAUSE THEIR CHEAP, RIGHT? THE QUESTION SHOULD BE, ARE LOW WAGES AND CHEAP CONSUMER ITEMS GOOD FOR US OVERALL? I THINK OUR ADDICTION ACQUISITION OF CONSUMER GOODS IS JUST ANOTHER GLUTINOUS AMERICAN HABIT! JUST SAY NO TOO GMO””S, ONLY PURCHASE ORGANIC AND HOME GROWN PRODUCTS, IT’S OUR CHOICE TOO BOYCOTT ALL CORPORATIONS AND WALL STREET PLAYERS! LETS SUPPORT FAMILY AND LOCAL BUSINESS’S BY ADMISSION AND CHOICE! THE BETTER PERSONALIZATION OF LIFE STARTS WITH YOU, LOVE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT INGREDIENT, JUST TRY A LITTLE, EVERYDAY!

  3. Yes. I have a question. You seem to be pretty confident in your claim.. I would like to know where you got these statistics from. Specifically the employee average wage. According to the following source, there are Walmart employees that make over $15/hr already.

However, without knowing the percentage volume of each position, there is no way to calculate the real average pay of each individual employee.

  4. There are so many that failed economics 101, and to quote Walter Williams, “critical thinking isn’t taught in the public education system.” Until the Department of “None Dare Call it Education,” is swept into the dustbins of history, America’s education will be near the bottom of industrialized nations. The decline didn’t start with “Common Core Standards,” but unfortunately it didn’t end with “Outcome Based Education,” in 1993. Employees today, don’t seem to be able to equate wages with production. If a business is going to exist, it has to make enough profit to pay all overhead, which includes all wages, as well as whatever fringes are paid, and this is what so many employees don’t have a clue about. Right or wrong, I put a lot of the blame on education. I graduated in 1954, and didn’t go to college.

Gun rights and education is what I am politically active in, and you can’t separate the two, in today’s education system.

I never had a job that paid $15 an hour, in the 44 years I worked, but then I didn’t have to drive into the city every day, only sometimes on my job.

I enjoy so much what you post, as well as your Saturday, five to seven talk show.

  5. Thank you for this well-put image. I had no idea the millions of dollars involved here – shoot, billions! The other result with regard to $15 an hour is that WalMart would HAVE to increase the prices of all their merchandise to meet this shortfall, pay the bills and dividends to their shareholders. The communities where WalMart has stores would be adversely affected by the high prices, unemployment would soar and the hew and cry would be “well, we must raise the minimum wage to $20 an hour”! Unions don’t get it. Someone has to pay for these great ideas of high minimum wages, free insurance, shorter work weeks. Yep I agree with Bill Burt above, our children’s “no-education” is at work with this idea.

  6. Why are progressives such cheapskates. Think big and raise the minimum wage to $75. Now that’s a living wage you can believe in. That will allow everyone to buy $15 hamburgers and $10 milk shakes and the dollar menu will become a $7.50 menu but all will be okay because everyone will be making more and will be able to afford it. What with free healthcare, everyone will be able to buy that BMW they always wanted, and that million dollar house. Now that’s an American dream that I can buy into. Get off your rears progressives and get busy, as soon as you collect your progressive extension of unemployment.

  7. I do not think they would go out of business, not right away. But the amount they would have to add to their selling prices would cause a drop in sales. But if everyone business had to pay $15 dollars an hour they would stay in business for the long term because they would remain competitive.

  8. Maybe they need to talk to the CEO of Costco, who has figured out how to pay his employees a livable wage AND give them healthcare. It’s possible and can be done. Not if you’re a money grubbing pig of a CEO – but it can be done. Of course, the CEO of Costco pays himself “only” $350,000 a year but I know Republicans can’t have THAT. In their word view, CEO’s have to millionaires a 100 times over while their employees need public assistance to feed their families.

    • The free market applies to job seekers as well. If Costco is so fantastic to work for, why would anyone ever apply to McDonald’s? Because working for Costco is a higher skilled position, hence the higher pay.

They require that employees actually speak English at Costco. Not so at McDonald’s. Costco requires employees display a positive fun attitude and treat customers with respect at all times.

Not so at McDonald’s, at Mickee Dee’s you get a side of attitude with your incorrect order. Don’t forget the fact that most McDonald’s workers can barely mumble their own names!

Try again hon. ALL franchise business owners aren’t Republicans. There’s plenty of money on the donkey side. And the rich donkeys aren’t sharing any of it either.

  9. How about just the simple unvarnished truth, their work product is not worth $15 an hour. The fact that their expenses exceed their earnings, is not Wal-Mart or any employers business or responsibility. People write checks their butts cannot cash all the time, trying to raise a family of 4 on minimum wage is one of those instances.

  10. Wages are based on supply and demand. If no one would work for minimum wage it would need to be raised. However there are 12 million folks who are here who will work for most any wage. Remove them and then see what the real wages do.
