Claire McCaskill has a ton of problems in her race against Congressman Akin to keep her senate seat.  The bad news just keeps on coming: she’s running as the moderate trying to erase the images of her gazing longingly at Obama, or her record of voting for ObamaCare and against Coal.  And let’s not forget “Air Claire”!

Monday, a firestorm ensued on news that McCaskill’s husband Mr. Shephard has taken payments in excess of $40 million dollars from the stimulus that Claire voted for.

Businesses affiliated with the husband of Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill have received almost $40 million in federal subsidies for low-income housing developments during her first five years in office, though it appears only fraction of that has made it to the family’s bank accounts, according to an Associated Press analysis.

She is denying any wrongdoing, but something smells fishy and the conservative powers that be are on the case.  Not a good week for the Claire Bear.

So it was quite surprising to see nearly 100 energetic, chatty, slightly pissed off flight attendants protesting in front of the embattled Senator’s offices on Delmar Boulevard this morning.  You see, Claire has sold them out!  According to the two American Airlines flight attendants I spoke with this morning, Claire has sold them down the river for campaign donations and as a direct favor to her old college roommate, Ann Loew, who is, you guessed it: the  APFA Executive appointee!

American Airlines Flight attendants are some of them old TWA employees that lost their seniority during the merger.  This has cost some of them jobs and most of them significant benefits that they earned over the course of their considerable careers, causing some of them to have to delay retirement.  There was legislation introduced to a bill that passed this summer that would have returned their seniority to them.  Senator McCaskill removed the legislation from the bill before it was voted on, causing much angst among the people protesting today.  Their protest was an attempt to get McCaskill to introduce another bill to return their seniority to them before the next merger occurs, stripping them of more seniority and benefits.

I asked them if they were seeking help from McCaskill’s opponent, Todd Akin just in case he won.  They stressed that the help that they seek is bipartisan and without McCaskill’s support as their current senator, they cannot get help from others on Capitol Hill.  Once again, Claire shows her propensity for crony capitalism at the behest of her friends and big labor, used to smash the hard work, hopes and dreams of Missouri citizens.  Vote her out.
