Full disclosure: I’m a fourth generation military veteran and I’ve never supported women in combat.

The Marine Corps is reporting that they are delaying the requirement that female recruits perform 3 pull ups to pass the physical fitness testing requirements to be eligible for combat deployments.

But 55 percent of female recruits could not complete all three pullups, compared to just 1 percent of male recruits who could not, so the requirement was delayed. The Marine Corps made the announcement without fanfare on Twitter and its TV show, the Corps Report. Currently, female Marines only have to hold their chin above a pullup bar for 15 seconds.

This suggests a need by the Marine Corps to hide the fact that equality in combat may not be possible, though some female Marines are able to pass the test. So far 13 have done so.

Tell me again how any Marine wants a woman in combat with him if she can’t carry her own Ruck sack, much less carry him if he’s injured?

Tell me again how this distracted Marine, focused on protecting this weaker female Marine instead of focusing on completing the mission, doesn’t detrimentally impact his ability to perform the mission?

Tell me again what the military is for? Social experimentation or KILLING the ENEMY?
