I hope that Margaret doesn’t mind, but I had to share her comment as a post; it’s that good. Mayhaps Margaret should have a blog or contribute to one? No pressure… Enjoy:
There are probably more incidents in the US than the three I’ve heard of since the Newtown massacre, but since the MSM won’t report these incidents, I will mention them. Lives, many lives, were saved because someone had a legal right to bear arms.

Georgia, January 6, 2012: A woman at home with two young children, hides herself and children in a second-floor closet as an intruder breaks in. This is why we have the right to own guns. (I have the right, but, I personally do not own guns.) In a world where children are disposable, people are encouraged to take from others, personal responsibility is discouraged, and we are constantly told our values are not scientifically supported, we, as a society, are descending into chaos.
The bedrock of social stability, the family has been under academic, legislative, and main stream media attack for fifty years, and no longer is supported, but rather, damaged by the continuous creation of questionable studies, reports, and laws purposefully designed to undermine parental rights, responsibilities, values, and authority in raising their children. Most studies seem designed to disprove a specific bedrock value that once supported mental and social stability.
As a result of these challenges to the family, we are generating greater numbers of mentally broken young people. Social values have not been based on hatred, as many young people have been taught, but on the firm knowledge and experience that the way we chose to live determines the stability of our lives, which then supports our ability to support ourselves, to adjust to life’s challenges, and to live in harmony with others.
