I’ve got your answer to “White Privilege” right here #WPC14 #SOTR

An open letter to the White Privilege Conference 2014 attendees;

I’m in a state of shock right now. According to your conference, the accomplishments of my family going back generations simply do not exist. Allow me to explain. You see I am black. Your conference contends that this country was built on racism; you contend that a pernicious evil is the foundation of every institution and permeates every aspect of American life (according to you) so much so your conference attempts to completely negate my very existence.

My great grandfather would definitely disagree with your ideas. He grew up poor in the south, but he had both parents and was taught a work ethic that carried him into adulthood, marriage and service as an enlisted man in the US Army. His son, my Grandfather, went to high school, got married and went on to serve in the Army doing a tour in the Korean conflict. He returned home and attended Tuskegee University and became a teacher. His first child is my father, who also enlisted, fought in Vietnam and married my mother having me and then my sister. My dad went on to serve 26 years; retiring honorably having traveled the world in service to this nation, alongside the very white Christian men, you claim have oppressed him.  He would disagree with you on that.

My great grandfather was a homeowner as was my granddad and my father.   My grandfather was a deacon, and served on committees in his town, rising to a position of leadership in his community of largely white people in the Deep South.

My mother and her family members have similar stories of hard work and success, she grew up picking cotton and now has a double masters degree and a management job placing her firmly in the upper middle class.

Their story, my history, is rooted in the years of segregation in Jim Crow south. The stories that I have pried from my father about his childhood sting me to this day. Yet even that knowledge flies in the face of your cretinous attempt to cheapen the lives of millions of black Americans, striving to succeed and doing so. Your conference insults the truth of millions of white Americans who have never been the recipients of any largess and still struggle to achieve the American Dream.

I refuse to be cheapened by your poorly formed malicious ideology. The Age of Enlightenment was about just that; the idea that as an individual, I can reach for the stars and control my own destiny. Racism has no impact on that, because excellence goes before an individual paving the way to their goals.

I have experienced the fruit of my own failures, successes and not so stellar attempts and achieved excellence. I have many goals before me that I hope to reach through hard work and sacrifice. No amount of “white privilege” will ever stop me.

Deneen Borelli had a fantastic response as well.

Absolutely amazing and dead on. Thank you so much for speaking the truth and being educated! It is a shame more black men and women do not believe in hard work and responsibility will push you forward in life! You have a lot to be proud of! I am extremely impressed with you…and NOT because you are black…but because you have separated yourself from the modern mentality, the blame game and chose to pursue bigger things!

Stacy you are not a inspiration because you are black women you are an inspiration because you are what true Americans should be. You are taking the war out of race and replacing it with general thoughts and great ideas on what it takes to be a solid individual and I respect you tremendously for that. Wishing you the best of luck and I will for sure be a follower from here on out!

Stacy, you gave a good account of yourself and told them just what they needed to hear, whether they want to hear it or not

You are an inspiration to men and women of all races, even if you are not loved by the hard left. Two of my favorite writers are Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams and when I see people writing about black youth needing role models, I always make a comment on the subject. If black youth would choose either one of these men for a role model, there would be no limit to the success they could have in their lives, and for that matter, any race youth couldn’t go wrong by choosing these men for their role models. State Representative Paul Curtman, Dist 109, is having a Louisiana State Senator speak at his “Defense of Liberty” dinner, on June 7, he is a black man and the topic of his speech is, Why I am a Republican. On the invitation, there is a video of him speaking. Paul served in the Marines for 10 years and has friends all over the country.

Stacy, I subscribe to your blog because you are a true American. I enjoy everything you say and put in print. If we had more people like you in this country we would live in a much better world. I also listen to your radio program.

I want to thank you for not only standing up for yourself but for everyone regardless of color. When I hear white privilege I am forced to wonder how it was a privilege for my great-grandparents to be stowaways fleeing to this nation to escape the Russian Pogrom to exterminate the Russian Jews. I wonder how it was a privilege that my other great-grandfather had his name changed because the Anglo man on Ellis island couldn’t wrap his head around Italian. I wonder where the privilege is when a good portion of the white people in this nation came here after 1865 from countries where they were literally serfs. I wonder where the white privilege is when my ancestors were also considered colored and were also paid 3/5 wages but they were given commodities from the company store at inflated prices and told to sell them if they wanted money. I am confounded by the idea of white privilege every month when I have to struggle to meet my mortgage or to pay my electric even though I have worked 40 hours a week or more since I was 18. I am flabbergasted at the notion that I am privileged even though with my 160 IQ and the fact that my parents barely made more then the poverty line combined I was unable to attend college because no one would give ME a grant because I was white and was literally told that my people didn’t need help going to college so there were no grants for me. I am glad there are still people out there that see that people struggles are people struggles regardless of race.

Stacy, thank you for sharing your family history with us! It is an amazing example to others. Your story flies in the face of the “I can’t because…” mentality! Well said!

What a great person. We are in charge of our own destiny and no one has the right to tell us otherwise. Once everyone realizes this only then can we rise above the people whose only purpose is to seperate Americans to serve their own agenda.

Thank you for that bit of enlightenment, Stacy…It’s true, the purveyors of the “White Privilege” orthodoxy have no problem whatsoever sacrificing the dignity of prideful Blacks for the sole purpose of browbeating the White population into complacency…No cost is too high to achieve their goal…This is why no rational debate is permitted on this issue…You either agree, or you’re a racist (or Uncle Tom, depending on your color)…Once again, thank you for speaking out…You’re truly a brave young lady.

Thank you SO much for speaking out! I grew up in Madison and although it is generally considered a socialist bastion I want to tell you that not all of us are like that and not all of us are willing to submit to the socialist indoctrination. Please continue to speak out against all this malarky! We need eloquent ladies to speak up. And thank you to your father and grandfather for serving our country. God bless!

Thank you Stacey for speaking out on this. I am a retired military “privileded” person and my family. like yours, has served for generations. I am not sure what these people hope to gain by spewing this hatred, but they are as stupid as the KKK. This is just racism. I would defend thier right to freedom of speech, but I draw the line at teaching hatred to our children. I’m glad my kids are no longer in public school and I’m not sure at this point if I want to become an ex-pat or stay here for the revolution that is sure to come if we don’t check these libtards.

#WPC14 is a Microsoft computer geek conference – not White Privilege Conference – just an FYI. Although I am sure at times it would be hard to tell the difference. However, noting their keynote speaker is an African American woman. Oh – and quick note: The white privilege you are so rallying against is on the right – so ask yourself why you are aligning with the GOP who actually openly hates people of color these days. Not curious – a lot of people are self-haters these days.

Yup! There is a conference by that name. There is another one that just happened in March in Wisconsin that is all about teaching blacks that we can’t achieve because white Christian men are SO powerful!!!

You go on being ignorant. It suits you.
