Spence Campaign Opens New Office Location and Announces Key Staff

ST. LOUIS, MO – Dave Spence, Republican candidate for governor, today announced the opening of his St. Louis campaign office at 755 South New Ballas Road in Creve Coeur.  The headquarters is located near the intersection of I-270 and I-64, easily accessible to volunteers.   The office will also serve as the primary headquarters for key campaign staff.

 

“We are committed to building the best voter turnout operation of this election cycle, and our new office will be a hub for volunteers in the initial phase of the campaign,” said Spence.  “My knowledgeable and eager campaign team comes from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.  I am confident in their ability to get our pro-jobs message out to the voters by organizing and energizing the grassroots leaders that help win elections,” Spence added.

The Spence for Governor Campaign Manager is Jared Craighead, who had worked for now Sen. Roy Blunt and for former Gov. Matt Blunt as his senior policy advisor.  In 2006, Jared served as Executive Director of the Missouri Republican Party.  Christopher R. Martin is Deputy Campaign Manager and holds Political Science and Public Management degrees as well as a Juris Doctor degree. Chris has extensive experience in fundraising and campaign finance compliance. Robert Knodell is Deputy Campaign Manager for Political Operations after serving for the past year as Political Director of the Missouri Republican Party.  Robert was Executive Director of the Missouri House Republican Campaign Committee for four years in which Republicans made historic gains in the State House.

Knodell will team with two well-known grassroots leaders in the Spence political effort.  Aaron Baker is Grassroots Director and has served as the Chief of Staff to Sen. Bill Stouffer and as the Vice President of the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association. In addition, Baker has also worked for the 6th and 9th Republican Congressional District Committees. Jaci Winship the campaign’s Grassroots Coordinator spent most of her career years in financial services before serving as the Executive Director of Missourians Against Human Cloning in 2006. Recently, she served as the State Director of Missouri Faith and Freedom Coalition.

 

On the communications team Stacy Washington is the Spokesperson and Media Relations Director. Washington is a fourth generation military veteran, popular guest political commentator, and blogger.  She has shared her conservative opinions on television and radio stations in 22 states. Stacy contributes to Big Journalism, and is a Director on her local Board of Education.  Matuschka Lindo, Deputy Spokesperson, came to St. Louis as a reporter for NBC KSDK-TV. Matuschka co-hosted Metro Vote on Charter Cable and reported on the At Work Show for Senator John Ashcroft. She also co-hosted and produced the radio show Mom’s on Kids Sports on ESPN.

Spence also hired key staff to execute day-to-day operational activities. He tapped Tyler Holman to be Assistant Campaign Manager. Holman served as Political Director for Tom Schweich’s successful campaign to unseat the incumbent MO State Auditor.  Stephanie Garvey, who will serve as Fundraising Director, worked at Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club since 2005 and most recently served as the Director of Marketing & Development.  Craig Arnzen will serve as Operations Director worked for Lt. Governor Peter Kinder and his 2008 re-election campaign. He has also been part of various efforts in the State Senate, helping to gain two seats in 2010.  Becky Niehoff is a Campaign Assistant and the granddaughter of long-time Republican RJ “Buzz” King, who was a Republican State Representative in Missouri for 20 years and ran for Governor. And Chantel Lyle, Campaign Scheduler, has a background in law enforcement where she served as a DARE and Community Resource officer.
