On Veterans Day I think of my family’s history of service, and how that way of life has impacted my view of America. My great Grandfather served in the Army in WWII. My Grandfather served in the Army in the Korean Conflict. My Father served in Vietnam, also Army.

My husband and I served in the Air Force.  Serving this country, protecting her freedoms, honoring our way of life; understanding that America isn’t just a place, it’s an ideal.  These truths were made real for me living abroad in foreign lands.

Honor a Veteran today with a hug, a smile, or a kind word. Now more than ever our Active Duty personnel are under attack from all quarters. Our veterans need us more than ever to stand in the gap.

Join me in saluting those who have spent their personal treasure to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies foreign and domestic.

And to my Air Force Bretheren: HOO-RAH!!!
