USA Today scrambles to improve image of late term abortion in wake of polling

Abortion is in the news for all of the wrong reasons with the latest horror story hailing from Virginia.

Via Life News:

An abortion clinic that botched an abortion so badly it left the head of the unborn baby inside the mother says it did nothing wrong and violated no state laws.

A woman who was victimized by a botched abortion is filing suit against the abortion practitioner who left her unborn baby’s head inside of her after the failed abortion.

Alliance Defending Freedom and the Family Policy Council of West Virginia are representing a West Virginia woman in a lawsuit against the Women’s Health Center of West Virginia abortion facility and abortion practitioner Rodney Lee Stephens of Charleston. In the lawsuit, Itai Gravely claims Stephens forced her to proceed with an abortion against her will and then left her baby’s head in her womb.

Hmmn. So another #Gosnell like situation with dismembered baby parts left inside of a woman? Isn’t that exactly what you pictured when the Democrats said abortion should be “Safe, Legal and Rare”? Moving on.

With the imminent passage of SB5 in Texas, the media and pro aborts are trying to convince the public that late term abortions aren’t really THAT bad after all!

Via Life News:
Polling by Gallup and others has shown that most Americans oppose late-term abortion and support the banning of it in the 2nd and 3rd trimester. Texas’s SB2 20 week abortion ban has brought the issue of banning late-term abortions back into the national spotlight and now, pro-aborts are scrambling to find a way to make the abhorrent practice palatable to the public, with the media being more than complicit.

The latest example is in USA Today, where the official editorial board ran a piece justifying why women need late-term abortion. There’s the usual blather about how it would create more Gosnells, because he ignored his state’s 24 week abortion ban, which just makes perfect sense. And then we get to the meat of their argument: we need late-term abortions because otherwise, women won’t be able to kill babies with Down syndrome and other abnormalities!

Of course people aren’t going to buy this rhetoric. It’s asinine. Two things are plainly evident here: women are being harmed by abortion especially the late term ones.

Secondly, if a doctor left a baby’s head inside a woman, you cannot argue that it wasn’t a baby, (anatomy 101 people…) or that the baby didn’t feel pain.

How did we let any of our sisters fall into this horrible assumption that abortion was an option in anything but rare cases. What ever made them think this was something that would make them more free and stronger? How does a woman with a soul ever recover after what this woman went through?

Strength comes in taking the gifts we have been given in order to continue the human race, and using them responsibly.

Shayn Roby’s Take: In seventh grade life science, it is taught that unicellular organisms are living beings. To suggest that the multi-cellular fetus is not a child is just flat out intellectually dishonest.

This makes me so sad. We need to empower women with the fact that they do have a choice… a choice to decide who they’re going to sleep with (in most situations that is.) Only sleep with someone whose child you’re willing to have. This whole excuse for genocide make my heart break. We are literally killing our children…. hold a 20 week old “fetus” in your hands, feel it’s heartbeat and tell me it’s not a baby.
