Video: I, I, I, Need to spike this football to help my re-election campaign

As a fourth generation military veteran, married to another veteran this sickens me.  President Obama is using the take down of Bin Laden to make himself look good.  Here’s an idea!  Run on your record.  Run on what you have accomplished.

Don’t take the blood sweat and tears of patriots and use it to grease the wheels of your re-election vehicle.  The heroes of Navy Seal Team Six weren’t thinking of your presidential campaign when they executed the mission before them.  They did what they were trained to do, because of the oath that they took to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Some things just stick with you. I’ll never forget the day that I raised my right hand and took that oath.  Let’s honor the ones that actually get the job done and ensure our freedom.  They never stand behind a mic and take credit for anything, probably because they are too busy out there getting the job done.

*Update! And then there is this deliciousness via the Tea Party Tribune:

“I don’t think there should be an ad about that,” Huffington told “CBS This Morning” Monday. “I think it’s one thing to celebrate the fact that they did such a great job [with television specials]. All that is perfectly legitimate. But to turn it into a campaign ad is one of the most despicable things you can do.”

Really just go on over there and read the whole piece yourself, it’s so interesting to watch his most avid supporters fall away...
